What We Need: QuantumScape is seeking a forward-thinking AI Enablement and Solutions Specialist to drive adoption, innovation, and responsible use of AI technologies across our organization. This role will be pivotal in empowering teams to leverage AI tools effectively, designing tailored AI solutions for business challenges, and ensuring secure and ethical AI practices. What You’ll Do:

 

AI Enablement & Training

  • Develop and deliver engaging AI training programs across departments to improve AI literacy and tool adoption.
    • KPI: Deliver at least 4 AI training sessions per quarter with an average attendee satisfaction score of 90%.
  • Act as an internal AI evangelist and trusted advisor, guiding teams on best practices, prompt engineering, and responsible usage.
    • KPI: Achieve 80% AI tool adoption rate within targeted departments within 6 months.
  • Build AI use case libraries and internal playbooks to accelerate adoption.
    • KPI: Publish at least 10 documented AI use cases and best practices guides annually.

AI Solutions Design & Deployment

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high-impact AI use cases and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.
    • KPI: Deliver 3-5 AI-enabled solutions per quarter, with documented ROI for each solution.
  • Configure and optimize enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI integrations, custom GPTs).
    • KPI: Maintain 99% system uptime and zero critical security incidents for deployed AI tools.

Governance & Risk Management

  • Enforce responsible AI guidelines, including data privacy, IP protection, and ethical usage standards.
    • KPI: Ensure 100% compliance with internal AI governance framework and complete quarterly compliance audits.
  • Monitor AI solution performance and user adoption.
    • KPI: Increase AI-enabled workflow efficiency by 15% year-over-year as measured by process KPIs.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay ahead of AI trends and bring new capabilities into the organization.
    • KPI: Evaluate and recommend at least 2 new AI tools or platforms annually based on business needs.
  • Drive change management initiatives to foster a culture of AI-driven innovation.
    • KPI: Achieve a 20% increase in AI-related ideas submitted to innovation programs within the first year.

 

Skills You’ll Need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in AI/ML solutions, digital transformation, or enterprise technology enablement.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) and automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, and responsible AI principles.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing AI use cases for Finance, HR, Legal, or Operations functions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, information security, and compliance requirements related to AI.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and API integrations.
  • Certifications in AI, machine learning, or data analytics (e.g., Microsoft AI Engineer, AWS AI Services).

 

ONSITE: This position is required to work onsite 5 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position.  As an on-site R&D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration. 

 

Compensation & Benefits: Expected salary range for this role is from $150,400 to $229,400 and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other benefits.
