About the team: You will join a “small but mighty” public company legal team that is viewed by internal stakeholders as a trusted business partner.  Each team member combines deep expertise in specific domains with the versatility of a seasoned generalist. Key Responsibilities
•    Assist in the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, and Section 16 filings
•    Support the development and maintenance of corporate governance policies, practices, and procedures
•    Help prepare board and committee materials and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards
•    Provide legal support for equity plan administration, executive compensation matters, and insider trading compliance
•    Advise on NYSE listing standards, SEC reporting, and emerging disclosure trends
•    Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, Investor Relations, Communications, Equity Administration) on earnings releases, investor materials, and public disclosures
•    Coordinate with outside counsel, auditors, and internal clients to ensure accurate and timely reporting
•    Contribute to the design and implementation of legal and compliance training programs and legal process improvements
•    Assist with commercial agreements and corporate development activities including legal due diligence and support for strategic transactions
•    Support the Senior Director on special projects and strategic legal initiatives as needed

Requirements
•    J.D. from a top-tier law school and active bar membership
•    5–8 years of legal experience, including at a top law firm; in-house experience at a public company strongly preferred
•    Deep expertise in U.S. securities laws, corporate governance, and public company reporting obligations
•    Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional teams
•    Excellent communication, drafting, and judgment skills
•    High integrity and a business-minded, collaborative approach
 

This position is required to work onsite at least 4 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position.  As an on-site R&D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration. 

 

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role has a range of $188,200 to $263,500, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
