Job Title: Cell Inspection Engineer, Associate Member of Technical Staff
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates a strong capacity for acquiring new skills and seamlessly adapting to diverse work environments.
Proficient in swiftly grasping new technologies.
Inspect and analyze critical components of our batteries utilizing various metrology tools.
The candidate is invited to contribute innovative ideas, conduct thorough cell metrology and electrical data analysis, and establish data pipelines to enhance the efficiency of image data and metrics processing.
The candidate should possess outstanding problem-solving and communication skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance existing metrology systems by introducing new features and capabilities.
Comfortable working in a glovebox, dry room, or fume hood
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a related STEM field.
Proficient in Python programming, including expertise with NumPy, matplotlib, pandas, OpenCV, seaborn, and scikit-image libraries.
Fundamental knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and calibration procedures.
Excellent communicator who thrives on collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex challenges in a dynamic and evolving setting.
This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track record of applying statistical methods to solve engineering challenges and analyzing extensive datasets.
Knowledgeable in measurement systems analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and design of experiments (DOE).
Experienced in digital image processing and proficient in handling time-series data.
Prior experience with battery technology development.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role has a range of $89,600 to $120,900, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
