We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team to support and development of critical process equipment. The position will focus on hands-on hardware design and development with the goal of identifying scalable concepts for volume production.

This role includes the creation of mechanical designs to accomplish specific process goals, iterative hands-on design/verification, and the emphasis on scalable equipment design.
You will work with other engineers and scientists in the team to get guidance to complete assigned tasks.
Requirements:
· Research and development of new technologies, as appropriate.
· Design and execute experiments to evaluate new tools/processes under guidance of other team members.
· Problem identification and troubleshooting a range of engineering problems.
· Generate 3D models and layouts using Autodesk Inventor.
· Design, or modification of engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications.
· Perform engineering analysis.
· Work with a team to root cause and address problem statements.
· Communicate results to the broader team.
· Excellent hands-on mechanical skills.
· Excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude
Minimum Requirements
· 3 years of study towards mechanical engineering degree.
· Knowledge with Inventor or equivalent CAD tools, AutoDesk Vault PDM or equivalent PDM/PLM systems and in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
· Experience creating project documentation, drawings, inspections, etc.
· Good written and spoken communication skills.
· Multi-tasking ability, priority management and sense of urgency
· Hands-on experience developing tools and equipment.
