Quantumscape is looking for an Industrial Engineer, Associate Member of Technical Staff! You will join the Industrial Engineering and Program Management team charged with ensuring the company can efficiently scale its operations to commercialize the company’s groundbreaking energy storage technology
Responsibilities:

Ensure tool capacity is well-positioned to meet factory output requirements.

Optimize our business process workflows and find ways of connecting disparate repositories of information (Sharepoint folders, Teams channels, Excel spreadsheet, Atlassian products, and email inboxes) with simple apps and no-code/low-code automations to ensure timely and accurate flow of information between teams throughout the organization.

Lead sophisticated projects of critical importance to QuantumScape's future, including developing operations models, coordinating the install and operation, and planning scale-up activities.

Lead project meetings: set the agenda, guide the discussion, take notes, delegate and follow up on action items.

Work with sophisticated modeling software to develop a virtual representation of our battery production line and run simulations to find optimal operating conditions.

Analyze operational data and develop sophisticated models to forecast company operations.

Develop operational strategies to effectively use existing assets to meet critical company goals.

Perform data analysis on current operations to develop scaling models for potential customers.

Organize and document the required design, safety, EHS & facility reviews needed for each project.

Effectively communicate project status to key partners, including senior management, internal customers including senior scientists, and external contractors and service providers.

Perform NPV calculation on any proposed capital items and support with impact to capacity.

Maintain project assumptions in capacity models with the current project status.

Participate in discussions with key partners and re-adjust the capacity strategy based on the progress of the projects.
Minimum Requirements:
• B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field
• 0-2 years of work experience in the Industrial Engineering field.
ONSITE: This opening entails work onsite 5 days per week to meet the duties and requirements of this position. As an on-site R&D and engineering operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is crucial in this role to build authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role has a range of $69,600 to $101,000, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
