We are seeking an engineer or scientist with deep empirical and hands-on practice in ceramic process engineering. Your responsibility will be to provide experience in ceramic processing and to collaborate with our partners and potential partners in Japan to scale-up manufacturing of ceramics. You have years of practical, applied knowledge with ceramic processing techniques. You have years of experience in leading Japanese ceramics companies. You are based in Japan and willing to travel within Japan and to our site in San Jose to collaborate with our US engineering team.

In this role, you will:

• Bring considerable ceramics process engineering experience to suggest solutions to optimize a process, from materials to process to equipment
• Bring Japanese partners to the table to discuss collaboration, and coordinate the partnership efforts with frequent visits and technical discussions

Minimum requirements:

• A technical degree plus 10+ years' experience in scalable ceramics processing
• Fluent Japanese and upper-intermediate level English
• Right to work in Japan; ability to travel to US and within Japan
