What we need: The Enterprise IT team is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Services Specialist who is passionate about providing the Ultimate Client Experience to our users. In this role, you’ll help define what exceptional service is and assist in building the processes to achieve it while supporting core IT operations. This position will be a key contributor in improving user journeys, defining and adhering to SLAs, and administering critical IT systems.

What You’ll do:

 

  • Define and deliver exceptional IT solutions and services across the company, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Create and enhance ITIL-aligned service delivery processes and best practices, focusing on user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Administer and maintain core infrastructure systems including Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and Exchange to support user needs and requirements.
  • Analyze service request trends, system reports, and performance metrics (KPIs) to inform decision-making and improve service operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT Services with business goals and ensure seamless integration of new and existing technologies.
  • Document procedures, processes, and service workflows for user self-help and IT knowledgebase to ensure operational consistency.
  • Evening or weekend work as needed for resolving critical issues or maintenance.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

 

Skills You’ll Need:

 

  • 15+ years of experience in IT, with a strong background in systems administration (Windows, macOS, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, Exchange).
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to solve problems and create solutions and processes to enhance IT services and operations.
  • Daily monitoring of KPIs and Service Desk dashboards for timely incident and request resolution.
  • Recent experience as a Specialist or Lead in IT service operations.
  • Ability to lead highly visible, cross-functional projects and provide reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Multiple years of experience with ITSM (ManageEngine, Jira), endpoint, and asset management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology or engineering field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or lab environment.

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google) and SaaS application management.
  • Experience with networking and server technologies (VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation tools.
  • Experience with Generative AI tools (Copilot, Gemini, etc).
  • Certifications in ITIL, HDI, Microsoft 365, or related IT technologies.

 

Physical requirements:

 

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.

 

ONSITE: This position is required to work onsite 5 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position.  As an on-site R&D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration. 

 

Compensation & Benefits: Expected salary range for this role is from $127,000 to $193,700, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other benefits.
