Are you passionate about research and excited about new technologies? We are looking for a detailed and hardworking R&D technician to join our Research team. As a technician on our team, you'll help support our groundbreaking experiments!

Shift:

Monday through Friday, 8 hour day shift, 5 days per week

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support their experiments, strictly following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Build R&D pouch cells, coin cells, and QuantumScape proprietary devices per SOPs or with scientists' oversight.
  • Process and test new materials for R&D experiments.
  • Assist with general lab work and support solid-state materials processing experiments.
  • Detail daily experiments and communicate completion status using MS Office applications.
  • Advise and give feedback for anomalies or unexpected results from experiments.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required, along with lab 3 years of R&D experience or technical degree from a 2-4 year program.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • A focus on delivering outstanding results.
  • Sharing our real passion for our mission.
  • Basic computer software skills, including Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional specialized programs

 

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with working in a dry room and glovebox.
  • Previous experience with handling powders and chemicals in a lab environment.
  • Proficiency in tasks requiring attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to dynamic research environments.
  • Ready to learn a range of lab skills.
  • Flexible and can collaborate on different projects with researchers.
  • Comfortable using software for task completion and logging data.

 

We offer a competitive hourly range of $21.54 to $32.88, with the final rate based on experience and education. QuantumScape provides an annual bonus, RSU/Equity package, and comprehensive benefits including healthcare and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
