What You’ll Be Do:
- Lead the development, maintenance, and analysis of our Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Serve as the finance lead for systems implementation and digital transformation initiatives, specifically as they relate to BOM and costing within our PLM and ERP systems.
- Provide insightful financial analysis on product costs, manufacturing expenses, and profitability, working closely with cross-functional teams in operations and engineering.
- Identify and analyze production variances, providing clear explanations and supporting resolution efforts.
- Partner with stakeholders to continuously improve our costing and PLM processes for greater efficiency and data quality.
- Build complex financial models and conduct ad hoc analyses to support key strategic initiatives.
Skills You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a financial analyst or cost accounting role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated, hands-on expertise with SAP, specifically with its integration to BOM, cost management, and manufacturing modules.
- Extensive experience with systems implementation and process improvement, particularly with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications and their integration with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both financial and non-financial partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building effective cross-functional relationships.
Nice to have:
- Direct experience in energy storage, semiconductor, or automotive industries.
- Experience with licensing, in addition to manufacturing costs.
- A proven track record of driving process and system improvements from end-to-end.
- You are a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- You have an inherent curiosity and a passion for continuous learning.
ONSITE: This position is required to work onsite 5 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position. As an on-site R&D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits: Expected salary range for this role is from $101,300 to $152,500, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other benefits.
