Are you passionate about clean energy and ready to contribute to the race for a better battery? We are seeking a motivated and diligent technician to support all solid-state battery development, and work with the team to tackle exciting materials challenges.

 

Shift: Tues-Sat 3pm-11:30pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and log key parameters during tests; clear lab notebook keeping and database interactions
  • Lead operations of materials mixing, loading, tool assembly/disassembly, and cleaning with full attention to standard operating procedure (SOP) details, including setup, cleanup, and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with engineers and other technicians to continuously improve the process.
  • Calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and minor repairs of process tools

 

Requirements:

  • An Associate degree with 4+ years of experience in R&D laboratory or manufacturing environments OR High School Diploma and 10+ years of experience
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs
  • Able to work on Tues-Sat 6am-2:30pm and willing to work overtime on short notice
  • Hand-on experience in R&D lab
  • Must be tech savvy with the ability to operate machine software
  • Knowledge of safe laboratory practices, especially in handling chemicals
  • Ability to perform work in a glovebox, dry room or fume hood
  • Motivated to learn new techniques and refine existing techniques
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated and capable of working independently and within a team
  • Outlook, SharePoint and MS Office

 

Nice to haves

  • Experience working within a battery lab or in gloveboxes, fume hoods or dry room

 

This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices.

 

 

Compensation & Benefits: The hourly wage for this role is between $33.46 and $50.00, and a final hourly wage will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
