Title:  Senior Software Engineer

QuantumScape developed the industry’s first anode-less cell design, which delivers high energy density while lowering material costs and simplifying manufacturing. Our innovative battery cell technology can store energy more efficiently and reliably than today’s lithium-ion batteries.

Responsibilities

· Work closely with internal and external hardware partners in development of new tools and data pipelines

· Update APIs to facilitate access to new data sources.

· Work closely with diverse teams to brainstorm new quality metrics and implement them manufacturing process.

· Keep up to date with internal code-writing, documentation, and quality assurance practices.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with 5-10 years of industry experience. · Proficiency in Python and its scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, etc.).

· Proven experience in using both SQL and noSQL databases.

· Proven track record of applying solid design practices and building robust software solutions.

· Strong background in software documentation and version control.

· Enjoy working in a multifaceted, fast-paced, and technically challenging environment.

· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.

· Passionate about the QuantumScape mission.

Preferred Skills

· Experience with data processing in a manufacturing setting.

· Experience with image processing and Python image processing libraries (OpenCV, Scikit-image, etc.).

· Prior exposure to deep learning concepts.

· Familiarity with Typescript and modern JavaScript frameworks.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role is $147,300-$191,480, but a salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan.
