Title: Senior Supply Manager

QuantumScape developed the industry’s first anode-less cell design, which delivers high energy density while lowering material costs and simplifying manufacturing. Our innovative battery cell technology can store energy more efficiently and reliably than today’s lithium-ion batteries.
We need a Supply Manager to join our Supply Chain team to ensure the company can rapidly scale its operations to commercialize its technology and change the world.
In this role, you will:
* Build and own supplier relationships crucial to our operation: Communicate forecasts, lead regular cross-functional discussions, manage material orders, and troubleshoot quality issues
* Act as the internal expert in the material category that you manage: Become the “go-to-person” for internal customers, able to provide key insights into the market and key players
* Manage critical material inventory across multiple storage locations and leverage data to create and maintain inventory policy
* Work closely with industry-leading scientists and engineers to source new material to support exciting, rapidly changing development work
* Ensure our supply chain resilience through identifying and qualifying new suppliers that can support us through our rapid growth
* Think outside the box – problem solve through ambiguous situations
* Work 100% onsite
Minimum requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, with exposure to manufacturing environments
* You have a solid track record for managing multiple, competing priorities, and working across cross-functional teams.
* You are organized and pay attention to the details
* You have high EQ and are both an outstanding communicator and listener, with a focus on the customer
* You have strong Excel skills
* You have strong intuition and problem solving skills
* You are a self-starter and are willing to step outside of your comfort zone
Additional Skills:
* Experience working with battery materials and knowledge of battery suppliers and market
* Experience acting as the interface between technical internal customers and external suppliers
* Experience understanding technical part drawings
* Experience with Python or other programming languages.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role has a range of $130,200 to $157,500, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
